Assistant Finance Controller

Location: Lowton (WA3)Hrs: Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:00hrs & Fri's 07:30-12:40hrsContract Type: 10 month FTCSalary: £35KSector: FinanceJob RoleOur client, a well establish, manufacturing/engineering business, based in Lowton, require an experienced Accountant/Finance Controller for a minimum 10-month fixed term contract.As the Assistant Financial Controller, your duties will be: * Assist with budget preparation. * Manage, control and reconcile balance sheet accounts. * Assist in month end processing. * Consolidation of UK & European accounts. * To oversee and assist in the day-to-day VAT Returns, Invoices, Aged Creditors and Debtors etc. * Prepare accurate and timely journals.The ideal Assistant Financial Controller will hold the following skills and experiences: * Have solid experience working in a Finance/Accounting department. * Must be minimum part qualified AAT. * Experience os Syspro/SAP or Sage is ideal. * Strong IT skills including Excel spreadsheets/pivot tables/formatting/Lookups and all Microsoft Office functions. * Knowledge of fixed assets/depreciation/AP/AR/credit control is ideal. * High level of analytical and numerical skills. * Excellent communication skills
