Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Cambridge, £50k - £90k We are recruiting for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a fast growing and dynamic Cambridge based electronics R&D company developing a myriad of cutting edge products. You will be at the forefront of this innovation helping to develop the latest technology to defend against technological and cyber threats. You’ll see ideas become a reality as you create prototypes through a rapid approach to design and implementation. This really is a fantastically challenging, varied, and agile role. Every day, you will be operating at the boundary of technological exploration through inventions and cutting-edge technology.Due to the nature of the role you must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance.Embedded Software Engineer requirements
  • Skilled in C and at least one other language as appropriate for prototyping or test harness creation (such as C#, C++, MATLAB, PHP, Python or Simulink)
  • Recent and relevant experience of development of applications for Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) or bare metal,
  • Excellent experience developing software for embedded systems,
  • Interfacing to standard peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART etc.,
  • Optimisation for resource constrained applications,
  • Good knowledge of standard algorithms beneficial.
  • Ability to develop new and / or adapt existing algorithms beneficial.
  • You will also have a track record of academic excellence, hold a relevant degree, and have proven technical capabilities including the design and development of technology solutions.
