The Paraplanning role is a key technical support role responsible for assisting financial advisers by preparing detailed financial plans, researching products, and ensuring that all client recommendations are compliant and bespoke to individual client needs. As part of an outsourced service provider, the Paraplanner will also work to maintain strong relationships with external advisers and provide technical support to the client servicing team.

Main Responsibilities:

Holistic Planning:

  • Prepare holistic and strategic financial plans, including building cash flow plans to support the wider financial plan.
  • Translate complex financial information and strategies into clear, concise reports for both advisers and their clients.
  • Ensure all plans are fully compliant with regulatory standards and bespoke to the specific needs of the client.
  • Be adaptable to different adviser templates, style of writing and investment propositions.

Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct research on financial products, tax strategies, and investment solutions that align with client needs and goals.
  • Analyse and compare financial products from a variety of providers to recommend the most appropriate solutions for clients.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, changes in regulations, and financial product developments to ensure recommendations are both compliant and forward-thinking.
  • Complete illustrations, fund analysis, cost comparisons and other various calculations required to support advice such as IHT, CGT and chargeable gains.

Technical Support & Relationship:

  • Work closely with financial advisers to understand client objectives and provide technical support in structuring financial plans.
  • Be a technical resource for both the advisers and the eParaplan team, answering queries, and assisting in technical case discussions.
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with our financial advisers, ensuring they receive timely, accurate, and proactive support.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of paraplanning templates, workflows, and processes to ensure high-quality, efficient service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning Qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years Paraplanning experience.
  • Competitive Starting Salary: up to £48,000, depending on experience.
  • Generous Holiday Package: 30.5 days holiday, increasing with length of service, up to a maximum of 33.5 days. Please note that our office closes for the Christmas period and this time off is provided without affecting your annual leave entitlement.

Flexible Working Arrangements:

We are open to considering part time or full time, hours are up to you providing they fall within reasonable limits between Monday-Friday.

Our office is located in Tinwell, Stamford, and we offer flexibility in working arrangements. Whether you prefer to work in the office, hybrid, or fully remote, we'll accommodate the right person. Please note that remote employees are required to attend the office for their first 3 days and periodically throughout the year for training, team meetings or events. Expenses for travel to the office are covered for remote workers. All IT equipment is provided.
