About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Consultant with specialized expertise in NetBackup and NetBackup Appliances. The successful candidate will play a key role in deploying, configuring, and managing NetBackup solutions within a dynamic and complex environment. Additionally, experience in automating Run Books and workflows using Ansible is essential, as this position focuses on optimizing backup processes and driving operational efficiency through automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage NetBackup solutions in enterprise environments, ensuring optimal data protection and recovery processes.
- Configure and maintain NetBackup Appliances, including hardware and software components, to meet client requirements.
- Develop and automate Run Books and workflows using Ansible to streamline backup operations and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning for NetBackup environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of NetBackup systems.
- Provide expert-level support and guidance on data protection strategies, policies, and best practices.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance backup operations through automation and process improvements.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation, including configuration guides, operational run books, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide on-site support and serve as the go-to technical expert for NetBackup solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with NetBackup and NetBackup Appliances in large-scale, complex environments.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation of workflows and process optimization.
- Strong understanding of data protection, backup, and recovery concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex backup issues and recommend best practices for system performance.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in the documentation of processes and configurations.
- Industry certifications in NetBackup or related technologies are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based backup solutions and integration of NetBackup in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with other automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for additional workflow optimization.
- Knowledge of storage technologies and data center infrastructure.
