My client, an industry leader in transport solutions is looking for an experienced BIM Manager to join their team on the biggest rail infrastructure upgrade in the North of England.

OUTSIDE IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

The BIM Manager is responsible for the following primary initiatives.

 Author, implementation and management of the project/tender BIM Execution Plans, MIDPs,TIDPs, Common Data Environment, 3D design reviews, IDC/Design Review reports, COBie dataexchanges, as required for the project/tender Author, modify and review BIM models using suitable authoring and checking tools, as required forthe project/tender Input, export and validate associated asset data, meeting project and Client asset data handoverrequirements Competent in one or more of the following software as a minimum; Bentley Projectwise, BentleyMicrostation (inc. Decartes), Bentley OpenRail, Bentley iTwin, Bentley Synchro Develop any project specific processes, procedures and plans to support BIM Management on theproject/tender meeting client and industry standards Implement an assurance regime to ensure compliance with project/tender BIM requirements andstandards Coordination and management of project/tender BIM resources for larger or more complex BIMprojects/tenders with multiple BIM resources. This includes resources for 3D modelling,information management including any CDE administration and further specific technology supportif required Technical advice, presentations, and training on BIM processes, tools and deliverables forproject/tender Client, Subcontractors and UK project/tender teams Ensuring all procedures and tools are deployed consistently across the project/tender byconducting regular BIM project and supply chain partner audits Coordination with internal and external stakeholders Provide internal reports on ROIs, benefits and provide project examples Participate in and initiate BIM technical discussions to develop solutions

Essential Competencies:

 Relevant Professional Qualifications to degree or equivalent level Breath of knowledge in current BIM standards, including but not limited to ISO19650 suite,Government Soft Landings, etc. Experience of delivery of BIM on large multidisciplinary projects Experience of managing multidisciplinary BIM teams Established professional status within engineering industry, including significant experience of BIMimplementation on railway schemes in the UK Commercially aware - able to forecast and manage resource utilisation and costs. Safety culture aware - to be able to influence and develop an existing safety culture to latestgeneration thinking and practice. Supportive of a consistent companywide approach to continuous improvement. Strong leadership qualities including personal drive, persuasive communication skills, enthusiasmand support for company goals. A broad base of engineering skills, experiences, knowledge and competencies covering the fullengineering lifecycle, together with the requisite personal characteristics, to take responsibility forfacilitating cross disciplinary engineering activity in complex, innovative and commerciallychallenging environments. Strong and effective communicator at all levels within the Business - and in front of new andexisting customers - both internal and external.
