SEN Planning Review OfficerLocation: FerndownContract: TemporarySalary: £280 per day (Umbrella)Myn is recruiting on behalf of our long-term partner for an SEN Planning Review Officer to join their team in Ferndown. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) are effectively managed and tailored to their needs.What You’ll Do:
  • Support the completion of EHCPs and other SEND processes, ensuring the voices of children and their families are central to every decision.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings to provide your expertise on how best to support each child in achieving positive outcomes.
  • Participate in the SEND Tribunal process and support families with appeal mechanisms when required.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of your work with children and families, reviewing their progress regularly.
  • Collaborate within a multi-agency team, working closely with other professionals to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Organise and prioritise tasks effectively, working within tight budgets and ensuring deadlines are met.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A relevant professional qualification, with GCSE English and Maths (grade C or above) as a minimum, alongside post-qualification training and experience.
  • Strong experience in the SEN field and a clear understanding of statutory SEND processes.
  • Familiarity with Local Authority procedures or experience in a complex organisational setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to create clear reports on children’s progress and needs.
  • Proficiency in administration, data compilation, and using data to enhance service performance.
  • A collaborative team player who embraces the ‘one team’ approach and shares knowledge across SEND disciplines.
  • A valid UK driving licence for travel as required.
