You will work across multiple sites throughout the West Midlands delivering high-quality training to service personnel. A commitment to maintaining professional standards and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.Responsibilitiesdeliver LGV Initial Driving Courses (Cat C licence acquisition to DVSA National Standards)deliver ERD initial and requalification coursesLGV/Appliance familiarisation/assessment.towing training (Category C1E to DVSA Standards)specialist appliance training/assessment.Essential skills or experiencemust be a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI)have experience of delivering training in Category C vehiclesmust have a thorough knowledge of Roadcraft the Police Drivers Handbook the Highway Code Know your Signs Vehicle & Driver Licencing and relevant Road Traffic Regulationsthe ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingDesirable skills or experiencepreferably be fully qualified and licensed to drive vehicles in Categories C1E or CE D1 and D vehiclespreferably hold qualifications in specialist vehicles such as forklift or hook-lifthave driving qualifications such as IAM or RoSPA both of which would be beneficialpreferably have experience of emergency response driving in either or both Category B and C vehiclesto ensure maintenance of own competencesbe able to work on own initiative and as part of a teambe able to instruct others in driving a variety of vehicle typesexperience in instructing individuals and groups also writing and producing training resourcesBenefitsWe offer a friendly working environment and benefits including:flexible and agile working arrangementson-site free gym facilitiesfree parking.We also offer access to an in-house occupational health facility - including occupational health and fitness advisors sports therapists physiotherapists cognitive behavioural therapy practitioners and counsellors.In addition employees have access to:24/7 Employee Assistance Programmewellbeing programmesblue light discounts across many retailers through partner schemesSports and Welfare scheme (for a small fee) with access to discounted products and services.DiversityWe welcome applications from all eligible candidates.
