If you’re ready to get involved, apply for our permanent Finance Analyst role to join our Reporting and Accounting team in the Finance function About the roleWe have an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to join our Reporting and Accounting team in our head office in Edinburgh. The role involves helping to add value by way of review, challenge, analysis and financial control while acting as a key point of contact for colleagues in our shared service centre in Krakow.Working within Reporting and Accounting you'll have exposure to and be responsible for elements of period-end close activities and associated external audit, incorporating legal entity management reporting, assessment of financial controls and other associated ad hoc tasks. The role is a unique blend of core financial responsibilities and dedicated involvement in our upcoming Enterprise Resource Planning system change over to ensure the integrity, cleanliness and migration readiness of existing financial data to support a successful transition.You'll be a key point person and coordination point for the accounting processes performed in the Heineken European shared service centre based in Krakow, and you'll also business partner with other internal teams such as Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Legal, Process Control and Improvement, Internal Audit and Digital and Technology. Extensive collaboration with the external auditors will also be required. This is an exciting period of change across the finance function as it supports Heineken’s ongoing Global Digital Backbone project, and you'll be joining a hard-working team in a fast-paced environment that continually challenges the status quo.Our way of workingThis role is office-based, but we currently operate a hybrid working framework that allows us to benefit from both working in the office and at home. We work a minimum of 3 days in the office, a Tuesday and Thursday are for all, with the third day being selected by the colleague, although you’re more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.Who we’re looking for?An accountant (possibly a new graduate or part qualified accountant (At present this role does not have financial support for professional exams), with experience in both internal and external Financial Reporting. If you have experience of:period end close processes and balance sheet reconciliation processes IFRS or UK GAAP/FRS 101 accounting standardsLiaising with external auditorsAnd…are an effective communicator enjoy working as part of a teamcan develop strong working relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholdershave advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, large data manipulation).have excellent analytical skills with an enquiring mindsetare motivated by continuous process and control improvement and efficiency. Then this could be the role for youOther skills that would be beneficial although not required:experience working with a major ERP system (i.e. SAP, Oracle, Business Central etc) or with other sub ledger systeminvolvement in a prior system migration, implementation, or major upgrade, this would be advantageous and familiarity with data governance and data integrity principles are also beneficialexperience within FMCG or a large organisation would be preferable.
