A Head of Year is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in West London. The team accommodates part or full time work patterns for this position.

If appointed as a Head of Year, you will be required to teach and provide pastoral care for pupils aged 11 to 18 years old. The rate of pay for this post will be between £160 and £300 a day, depending on qualifications and experience of each applicant.

The School

An All-Through Free School located in Hounslow, rated 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted in the most recent inspection. Class sizes are smaller than most schools, allowing for more effective teaching. There is a great sense of community and inclusion at the school, where everyone is treated with the highest level of respect. Partnerships with Counselling, Family Support, and Sports Organisations demonstrate the team's commitment to providing all pupils with a well-rounded system of support throughout their school journey. CPD is also available to staff, allowing them to fully explore and develop their careers.

Requirements

Applications are welcome from recently qualified Secondary School Teachers or experienced Heads of Year. You are encouraged to apply if you are a UK trained Head of Year or overseas trained Head of Year. All applicants must have the following to be shortlisted for this position:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or overseas equivalent
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • Experience as a Head of Year in UK schools
