Behaviour Mentor - Urgent Start Location: Merton School Type: Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Start: Immediate Tempest Resourcing is working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Merton to recruit a skilled and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an urgent vacancy requiring someone ready to start immediately. The Role As a Behaviour Mentor, you will: Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with challenging behaviour. Help pupils develop coping strategies, emotional regulation skills and positive attitudes toward learning. Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and senior leaders to implement effective behaviour management strategies. Use restorative and therapeutic approaches to support pupils' wellbeing and reintegration into education. Candidate Requirements We are looking for someone who: Has experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, or within a PRU/SEMH setting. Demonstrates strong behaviour management, empathy and resilience. Can build positive relationships and act as a role model for pupils. Is available for an immediate start.
