All About You

  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Experience working as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, particularly with children and young people with SEND
  • Strong understanding of communication difficulties related to developmental disorders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with children, families, and educational staff
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Organisational skills to manage a varied caseload across multiple locations
  • Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car for work, as the role involves travelling between different schools
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the needs of children, families, and schools


What Will You Be Doing?

  • Delivering high-quality speech and language therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, predominantly within school settings
  • Collaborating with families, carers, and a multidisciplinary team to support children with SEND
  • Providing training and support to educational staff to implement communication-friendly practices in schools
  • Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans to improve communication skills for children with SEND
  • Monitoring progress, adjusting therapy plans, and keeping thorough records
  • Travelling between school locations to manage your caseload, with a car required for efficient travel
  • Attending meetings, such as case reviews, and contributing to reports on the children’s progress
