About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fitting, assembling, and maintaining machinery and equipment. This role is critical in ensuring that our mechanical systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems and components
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Conduct tests to ensure proper functioning of mechanical systems
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes and systems
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Relevant certifications or trade qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience in the oil and gas industry
