Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary school Location: Abbywood, Greenwich Salary: £100 - £115 per dayHours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am until 3.30pmRemedy Education are currently seeking an experienced Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a large Primary school in Greenwich, Abbywood, supporting students in Year 6 with Autism and associated behavioural and communication difficulties.The role:As a Teaching Assistant, your role is to support our children with their learning and general wellbeing to ensure every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment.Key Duties:To establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the School.To promote and encourage independence and personal developmentSupport the Class Teacher in all areas of the day to day running of the classTo respond to the varying and changing needs of the school and adapt to any task presented to achieve the smooth running of the school. Some physical intervention may be needed upon occasion, full training on this will be provided.To promote pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual well-being.Experience /Qualifications:GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Level 3 / Grade C or equivalent is essential.Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential)Experience of working in a special school environment is highly desirable.Team TEACH Training- desirableIf you are interested in this great opportunity for September please contact Carly Walters at Remedy Education for more information, (phone number removed)
