About The Role


Within our B2B business unit we are on a journey of growth. As part of this journey, we need robust processes and controls in the delivery of our internal and external commissions schemes. We are therefore seeking a motivated Commissions Executive to join our B2B Operations team and lead the management of our commission schemes.


As a Commissions Executive you will play a vital role in managing all our internal and Third-Party Intermediaries commission schemes and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments whilst being a main point of contact for any commissions queries. You will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and key stakeholders to maintain the financial integrity of the organization, as well as producing supporting analysis of commission payments. Whilst strong analytical skills are integral to this role, you must also have the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.


Responsibilities


  • Build and maintain key relationships with newly onboarded Third-Party Intermediaries.
  • Communicate effectively with our most strategic customers to address inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and establish positive working relationships to facilitate smooth payment processes.
  • Upfront modelling and forecasting of sales commission schemes for future financial years.
  • Production and payment of commissions statements on monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Generate commissions reports and analysis to provide insights into payment trends, outstanding liabilities, and other relevant financial metrics.
  • Liaise with our B2B and Domestic sales managers frequently to ensure accurate and timely commission payments to their teams.
  • Communicate with our customer experience teams to assist with any queries regarding commissions and provide support on external customer calls where appropriate.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of commissions transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, adhering to internal KPIs and SLAs.
  • Manage the query resolution process and resolve blockers to paying commissions exist internal and external.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to the implementation of best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the commissions function.
  • Drive a high standard of governance and ensure controls and process documentation in place and regularly refreshed.



About You


  • Prior experience working in the Energy and Utilities sector.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with vendors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  • Previous experience as an Accounts Payable Analyst or similar role is a bonus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a similar field is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office applications is essential.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prior experience in process improvement initiatives is preferred.
