As a Bookkeeper, you will need to have experience working within the construction industry, dealing with payroll for subcontractors.
- Part Time Bookkeeper
- Location: Saltdean
- Hourly rate: £16 - £18 per hour
- Working Hours: 20 - 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible on days)
- Hybrid working opportunities after probation
Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:
- Overseeing daily income and expenditure transactions
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparing VAT returns and CIS monthly returns
- Administering weekly PAYE payroll and for subcontractors
- Managing pension contributions
- Maintaining accurate financial records up to trial balance level and managing journal entries
Required Experience:
- Previous experience with accounts / bookkeeping
- Proficiency with Sage Online Accounting / Payroll or Sage 50 Accounts / Sage 50 Payroll desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle financial discrepancies
