Senior Electrical Engineer – Leeds – To £55K

Overview

Established in the UK over 60 years ago, this building services consultancy remain committed to developing, promoting and retaining their employees. They have a reputation for attracting, promoting and fast-tracking their employees; and only promote from within.


Due to continued project wins and frameworks across Yorkshire and the Northwest of England, they are now looking for an additional Senior Electrical for their office in Leeds.


What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Electrical Associate, you’ll be responsible for leading the electrical aspects of projects, typically from RIBA Stages 2-4. You’ll enjoy working on a range of complex and challenging hospital, education (universities and secondary schools) labs, museums, hotels and commercial offices.


You’ll use your leadership skills as you manage and mentor a team of engineers, and also to ensure that all projects remain on time and scope. You’ll use your communication, relationship building and influencing skills as you liaise with architects, project managers and contractors and work together to achieve the client’s goals.

Culture and working environment

As a privately owned practice, owned and run by building engineers their profit targets are significantly less compared to investor owned, corporate firms. This means that you’ll have sufficient time and fee) to do a proper design and that you will see your own projects all the way through to construction.


Their Partners remain hands-on and visible and share the same space that the engineers occupy. They still enjoy carrying out engineering design and are always happy to pass on and share their expertise with less experienced employees, which results in continuous learning and a very enjoyable working atmosphere.
