Our rewarding careers as Residential Childcare Senior Support.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a Residential Childcare Senior Support Worker to join our exceptional team based in Birmingham. We need someone with the passion and determination to go the extra mile to create a home that every child truly deserves. This includes creating a space brimming with activity, new experiences, and, most importantly, fun and laughter.Due to ensuring continuity for the young people in our care, we require our staff to work flexibly. Staff are required to work a 3 – week rolling rota which will incorporate 2 – weeks of day shifts and one week of waking nights. Day shifts required are 15 hours long.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo promote and adhere to the workplace values of Dignus Group (Resilience, Courage, Integrity, Respect, Confidence and innovation)Provide supervisory control and direction in relation to staff duties and responsibilities.Take responsibility for planning shifts and ensure the smooth running of the service.Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate and encourage good communication and staff development.Assisting with the recruitment and retention of staff including induction training for all new team members.Supervising new starters during their probationary period to ensure they receive best in class support.Undertaking supervisions, addressing performance issues and identifying training and development needs.To promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each young person.Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with the young people.Manage behaviour positively and assertively by working in line with specified care and risk management plans.ABOUT YOUDue to the ages of our young people you will need to be above 21yearsMinimum of 18 Months experience in a residential childcare settingDiploma or NVQ Level 3 in Residential ChildcareA good standard of written and verbal EnglishYou are able to provide emotional and social support whilst promoting dignity and respectYou show integrity by conducting yourself ethically, honestly and honourablyYou possess the moral strength to do what is right at all timesYou show resilience by never giving up or compromising on qualityYou are confident to challenge ways of working to encourage new ideas and achieve positive outcomesSuccessful applicants will be subject to a DBS check at enhanced level.What We Offer:Full time, permanent contractHourly Rate:£16.15Comprehensive training and development opportunitiesFlexible working2x Salary Life InsuranceAdditional annual leave entitlement at key milestonesEarly pay – access to your pay as you earnEmployee Referral SchemeOvertime (when available)Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)Employee discount scheme (Blue Light Card)Access to fully funded apprenticeshipsSupportive and inclusive work environment
