From endlessly recyclable aluminum cans and cups to aerosol bottles our goal is to contribute to a better community society and world.Position overview:Performs mechanical and engineering tasks to provide effective services to support the plants production goals overall business plans and objectives as directed.Key responsibilities include:Performs various manual or mechanical production tasks by operating adjusting and repairing production equipment to meet customer specifications.Disassembles overhauls and rebuilds of production equipment.Performs troubleshooting on production equipment as required.Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment as required.Inputs real-time data on a computer terminal.Inspects in-process or finished product to meet customer specifications.Initiates reviews and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.Supplies and maintains required hand tools.To be an effective communicator with management and colleagues reporting quality defects unsafe conditions manufacturing difficulties suggesting ideas for improvements.To promote improvements and preventative actions by involvement in continuous improvement activities to meet the key performance objectives and targets.What are we looking forAn apprenticeship or relevant qualification in a Engineering / Mechanical disciplinePneumatics and hydraulic experience is essentialSurface grinding experience is preferableGood computer literacy skillsGood communication and organisational skillsTroubleshooting skills/experienceExperience working in an engineering fast paced manufacturing environmentAnalytical skills to interpret numerical data and problem solving skillsAbility to understand and adhere to operating principles of all assigned equipment and productsAbility to identify product defectsAbility to use hand and power toolsWorking knowledge of machine mechanicsDisplays behaviours in line with Ball core valuesBall Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
