Role Description

This is a remote role for a Social Media Strategist at Growth-On-Demand. The Social Media Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing social media marketing strategies across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Threads, optimizing social media channels, managing public relations, and overseeing content strategy for these platforms.

The role will initially be a self-employed position, managing accounts for multiple clients. After 3-6 months, the role may transition into a permanent part-time or full-time employed position, based on performance and business needs, with flexibility to align with individual career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies across various platforms to support business growth and brand awareness.
  • Manage and optimize social media channels, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, tracking and analyzing performance.
  • Oversee content strategy, ensuring impactful and engaging content is delivered.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social media efforts with overall business and marketing strategies.
  • Stay informed of emerging social media trends, including the growth of Threads, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and the achievement of campaign objectives.
Skillset:
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and clients.
  • Creative with a flair for good design and impactful content creation.
  • Ability to use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media management tools like Hootsuite or Buffer) to track and improve performance.
  • Adaptability to emerging social media trends and platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to manage public relations and client communication.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience/qualification/interest in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO).
  • Expertise or giftedness in Communication and Public Relations.
  • Strong content strategy development experience or ideas for social media.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to track campaign performance.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, managing multiple projects.
  • Experience with international business or marketing is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Remuneration:
  • £8k to £30k OTE per year, depending on the scope of the contract, hours worked, and skillset.
