Youll be joining a friendly welcoming and hard-working team that values collaboration and offers excellent opportunities for career progression.The RoleAs a Senior Asset Finance Lawyer you will manage your own caseload of asset finance transactions acting primarily for lenders funders and financial institutions. Youll handle a diverse range of asset finance matters including hire purchase leasing conditional sale and equipment finance working on both new facilities and portfolio management matters.The role offers genuine progression opportunities and the chance to work with established finance clients whilst also contributing to business development. Youll have the autonomy to run your matters whilst also providing supervision and guidance to junior team members.Your key responsibilities will include:Managing a caseload of asset finance transactions from instruction through to completionAdvising lenders and financial institutions on asset finance facilities including hire purchase leasing and conditional sale agreementsDrafting and negotiating facility agreements security documents and master agreementsConducting due diligence reviewing security packages and advising on perfection of securityAdvising on equipment finance vehicle finance plant and machinery finance and other asset classesHandling refinancing transactions portfolio acquisitions and securitisation mattersAdvising on regulatory compliance and Consumer Credit Act requirements where applicableBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with finance clientsContributing to business development and the growth of the asset finance practiceProviding commercially focused and pragmatic advice to clientsSupervising and mentoring junior solicitors and paralegalsWorking collaboratively with colleagues across the finance and creditor services teamsMeeting financial targets and managing matters profitablyAbout YouEssential Requirements:5 years PQE experience in asset finance equipment finance or leasingQualified Solicitor in England and WalesProven experience advising lenders on asset finance facilities and security arrangementsStrong technical knowledge of asset finance hire purchase leasing and security documentationExperience drafting and negotiating facility agreements hire purchase agreements and security documentsExcellent understanding of security perfection registration requirements and title retentionKnowledge of regulatory requirements including Consumer Credit Act and FCA regulationsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneouslyExcellent client care skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationshipsCommercially focused with a pragmatic approach to transactionsStrong communication drafting and negotiation skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesHighly Desirable:Experience acting for asset finance lenders leasing companies or challenger banksKnowledge of insolvency and enforcement procedures including repossession and recoveryExperience with complex or high-value asset finance facilitiesExperience with portfolio acquisitions securitisation or warehouse facilitiesSupervisory or mentoring experienceBusiness development experience and existing client relationshipsExperience working in a collaborative team environmentKey Attributes:Experienced and enthusiastic with a proactive approachFriendly welcoming and hard-workingStrong work ethic with commitment to delivering high-quality workCommercially astute with strong problem-solving abilitiesTeam player who thrives in a collaborative environmentTarget-driven with a focus on achieving financial objectivesEager to contribute to the growth and development of the practiceWhats On OfferOur client is committed to rewarding talent and hard work with a competitive remuneration package and excellent opportunities for career progression.Benefits include:Competitive salary: 55000 - 75000 (dependent on experience)Bonus scheme for all fee earners25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)Referral bonusHealth cash plan Paycare (eligible after successful completion of probation)Pension plan (with the option of salary sacrifice)Cycle to work schemeAccess to a wellness web app LeafyardTravel passDeath in service benefitExcellent opportunities for career progressionFriendly welcoming and hard-working team environmentSupportive team culture with opportunities for development and supervision experienceEstablished finance client baseModern well-equipped offices in Liverpool or ManchesterFlexible working arrangements availableAbout Our ClientOur client is a well-established commercially focused law firm with offices in Liverpool and Manchester serving clients across the North West and beyond.
