Rate: £400 - £500 p/d

Contract: Temporary

Location: Manchester

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting an Interim Procurement Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Manchester. The role will be 3 months initially and cover all categories.

The Role:

  • Manage change and minimise risk by introducing/maintaining appropriate processes
  • Provide strategic procurement advice to other departments within the organisation
  • Manage above threshold procurement tenders end-to-end
  • Ensure all procurement undertaken is compliant with the relevant UK legislation
  • Attend regular meetings with Senior Management to report on procurement progress
  • Achieve cost savings, value for money, risk reduction and enhanced social value
  • Ensure contracts and supplier database are maintained along with all other tendering, contracting, compliance information

The Person:

  • MCIPS or equivalent level of relevant experience
  • Public Sector procurement experience
  • Experience working at a senior level within a complex organisation
  • Available at short notice
