Are you looking for a new challenge within a manufacturing company? - If so, then we may just have the right role for youOwen Payne Recruitment are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join a leading Steel manufacturing client on a permanent basis located the Smethwick area.Due to the nature of this role, previous experience as a Manufacturing Technician is essential.Company Benefits:Starting salary of £27,200 paTraining and Development through Apprenticeship LevyPension SchemeLife Assurance – Linked to the pension25 Days Holiday + Bank HolidaysOnsite ParkingA dynamic, friendly working environmentDuties of a Manufacturing Technician:Set production equipment safely and efficientlyControl production processes to set tolerancesSet, load and feed coilSet roll feed and leveller, if required within production base/divisionIdentify and understand when to change Ultra steel gearingSet distance points between rolls and strip guides, according to specificationsInstall equipment such as guides, guards, gears, cooling equipment, and rolls, using hand toolsCarry out fault finding on automation linesEnsure oil is at right level, adjust valves, and observe gauges to control flow of metal coolants and lubricantsObserve gauges/indicators to make sure machines are working properlyEnsure production paperwork is correctly completedComplete quality checksEnsure product is manufactured to drawing spec/customer requirementsComplete documentation, including correct product labellingCarry out routine maintenance, including tool care, and determine when and what kind of maintenance is requiredAny other duties within the capability of the job holderHours of work:Monday to Friday06:00-14:00Salary:Starting from £27,200 pa (DOE)If you are interested in this role, please apply online or call (phone number removed) to speak Jodie
