Pre-Construction Manager - Harlow Salary: Up to £95,000 + Package Sector: New Build & Refurbishment Employer: Tier 2 Main Contractor A well-establishedTier 2 main contractorwith a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects is seeking an experiencedPre-Construction Managerto lead its pre-construction function from theHarlow office . This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a growing department and work closely with the Pre-Construction Director on a wide range of new build and refurbishment schemes. The Role As Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all early-stage project activity, ensuring high-quality submissions and smooth handover to delivery teams. Key duties include: Leading and managing a small team ofestimators, bid writers, and support staffCoordinating the preparation of tenders, bids, and pre-construction documentationEnsuring robust cost planning, value engineering, and risk managementManaging design development during pre-construction phasesWorking closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to support winning strategiesEnsuring deadlines, quality standards, and bid governance procedures are metProviding clear reporting to the Pre-Construction DirectorSupporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationshipsAbout You Proven experience in a pre-construction, estimating, or bid management role within a main contracting environmentStrong understanding ofnew build and refurbishmentprojects across multiple sectorsExperience managing and developing teamsExcellent organisational, communication, and leadership skillsStrong commercial acumen with the ability to influence decision-makingAbility to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to tight deadlinesCollaborative, proactive, and detail-focusedWhat's on Offer Salary up to £95,000depending on experienceComprehensivepackage , including car allowance and benefitsLeadership role with genuine influence and visibility within the businessOpportunity to shape and develop the pre-construction functionWork on a wide mix of interesting and high-profile projectsLong-term career prospects in a stable and reputable contractorTPBN1_UKTJ
