Description
- Reporting to the Indian vendor, deliver sales and profit growth for the Jewellery category.
- Work alongside the buying and merchandising teams.
- Alongside the vendor, manage marketing campaigns, range launches, training in stores.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Create sales reports to be utilised across the business.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance product portfolio and increase market share.
- Collaborate with the vendor to negotiate cost prices and ensure product availability.
- Monitor performance against KPIs and take corrective action as necessary.
Profile
A successful Category Manager Jewellery should have:
- Ideally a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Ideally experience working with Indian suppliers.
- Independent worker and a 'self starter'.
- Proven experience in merchandising or category management role within the retail industry.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- A deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behaviour in the jewellery sector.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools to make informed business decisions.
- A proactive approach and a passion for delivering results.
