The Job

Working as a Senior Software Architect your job will be work to overhaul the tech stack of this scaling technology focused business whilst integrating leading-edge practices around distributed systems. Your ultimate aim is to build a versatile white-labeled multi-tenant platform, helping the business to scale with their astonishing sales figures.


Working with the engineering teams, stakeholders and reporting into the Principal architect, you will craft core products that reach over 100+ million customers.


An example project would be to build an Deal management solution that utilizes insight from customer intent, conversation rates and behaviours so that they can continuously enhance their engagement strategies though paid advertising and SEO.


You'll play a key in fostering a product engineering culture, by democratising data access, optimising their unified Snowflake Datalake. This will let the business gain insights into performance and allow the to leverage machine learning tools to improve customer engagement and drive commercial value.

You will

  • Drive the creation of end to end architectural blueprints, technical designs and solid roadmaps for main capabilities within the platform.
  • Participate in discussions and decision-making processes to drive the evolution of their next-generation platform.
  • Balance between consistent and homogenous technical solutions and innovation, focusing on product and functional scalability and efficiency.
  • Drive a collaborative Product Engineering culture to architecture and design throughout the engineering chapter.
  • Closely work with key stakeholders around the business to clarify the product vision and enable the engineering organisation to iteratively evolve our components and services and execute on the product vision.


About your experience

  • You must be a seasoned Software architect who has been a backend developer in the past, comfortable with the tech stack they have ; NodeJS, Typescript, Java, C#, PHP, AWS and Python.
  • Experience on large-scale software projects and distributed, highly-available platforms.
  • Track record of strong product mindset to translate product requirements in technical designs, well-defined roadmaps and supporting technical implementations.
  • a track record of applying best design principles and practices (SOLID, design patterns, distributed algorithms, CQRS, event sourcing, etc).
  • You will be able to manage stakeholders and you will be able to communicate your vision to others.
  • If you've worked with Publishing or SEO systems in the past that is a massive plus.
