The RoleSenior Investment Operations Portfolio Administration Middle Office – Cash Equities & Private Equity (Urgent 6-month FTC, with strong possibility to go permanent)Martis Search are representing a West End based, but global Asset Management company to hire an “Asset Management – Senior Investment Operations Middle Office, Fund Administration/ Fund Accounting Associate level” to join their Investment Operations Middle Office. The role is an initial 6-month “fixed-term contract”, with the genuine strong possibility to go permanent. The chosen incumbent must have covered Asset Management Operations for Cash Equities and Private Equity fund types. This is an excellent opportunity for an established, but growing West End based Institutional Asset Manager. The reason for the role is simply because of increased work-loads in the team and growth in our client’s funds. Our client is looking for a senior “Asset Management – Investment Operations Middle Office, Fund Administration/ Fund Accounting Associate” and the role reports into their Head of Investment Operations Middle Office & Fund Accounting, so it is an excellent opportunity to learn not just from a senior Operations Manager, but also from other stakeholders in the business, such as senior Operations Managers and other team members. The senior Operations Manager is very knowledgeable, but also genuinely friendly and approachable too and willing to share their wealth of knowledge to the chosen incumbent.The role will involve lots of different very manual processing tasks every day. Over time there will be more automation with their existing OMS, but you need to be able to cope working with manual “Portfolio Administration/ Fund Administration/ Fund Accounting” type tasks.There will be a lot of manual Payments processing, Cash Reconciliations and every quarter, you will be working with NAV’s/ Valuations on a range of their different Equity, Private Equity and Fund-of-Funds. Full “on-the-job-training” will be provided.Our client is open-minded and is happy to look for:A senior, so a minimum of 5-years “Investment Operations Middle Office/ Portfolio Operations/ Fund Administration (a broad Operations experience that is not just NAV’s focused)” experience across Cash Equities and Private Equity fund types. Our client is also looking for someone who has a willingness to learn and does not think that any type of work related task is beneath them.The company offer a hybrid mix of working-from-home and also in-the-office, so you get the best of both worlds.
