Job Specification: Electrician – Refinery Project (UK) Position Title: Electrician (Industrial / COMPEX) Location: UK Oil Refinery Site (Project-based) Contract Type: Project-based (duration depending on project scope) Working Hours: Site-based hours, typically 40–60 hours per week with potential overtime and shift work depending on project phase. Role Purpose To carry out electrical installation, maintenance, within a refinery environment, ensuring compliance with UK regulations, site safety standards, and hazardous-area requirements. Key Responsibilities Electrical Installation & Maintenance Install and maintain industrial electrical systems, including: Cable containment (tray, ladder, conduit) LV power distribution systems Motors, panels, and control systems Instrumentation power and signal cabling Carry out termination, glanding, and connection of cables to industrial equipment. Hazardous Area Work Work in ATEX / hazardous environments in accordance with: BS EN 60079 series IECEx / COMPEX standards Install and maintain equipment certified for Zone 1 & Zone 2 areas.
