SEN Teacher needed for a Specialist School in Slough TLTP are looking for a qualified SEN Teacher to work full-time at a Complex Needs School. The ideal SEN Teacher would have experience of working with pupils aged 2-19 with autism and moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties/disabilities including those with visual and hearing impairments. The setting is a specialist school based in Slough. The role: Plan and deliver highly individualized, engaging, and meaningful lessons that consider cognitive, communication, and sensory profiles. Lead and manage a class team of support staff to ensure a consistent and person-centred approach across the day. Work collaboratively with therapists and other professionals to embed therapeutic strategies into daily teaching. Use augmentative and alternative communication systems (AAC) including high-tech (e.g., communication devices/apps) and low-tech systems (e.g., PECS, Sign-Along, visual supports). Build strong relationships with families and contribute positively to home-school communication. Play an active role in annual reviews and contribute meaningfully to Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) processes.
