Hybrid Working (3 Days WFH) Fee On Site Parking Flexible Working Hours Enhanced Benefits Package An ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior Purchase Ledger Specialist, who has had end to end experience of the Payables process, within a larger business environment. You will Ideally demonstrate proven results in process improvements with the ability to mentor and guide team members. This role will take responsibility for team 121s and development plans and so previous experience in a Supervisory/ Team Leadership capacity is preferential. Purchase Ledger Lead Responsibilities: Process and review a high volume of invoices, using the 3 way matching technique, always ensuring accuracy and compliance. Proactively responding to any supplier queries to reach a prompt and effective resolution, adapting a "right first-time" approach Prepare and process daily, weekly and monthly supplier payment runs within agreed terms. Reconcile supplier statements, investigating and chasing outstanding invoices as required. Assist with month-end closing, accruals, and reporting. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Support and mentor the wider Purchase Ledger Team, highlighting and addressing training needs as required. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and support continual developments. Be first point of contact for the team, managing escalations and ensuring best practice. Delegate team work flow. Conduct regular 121s and performance reviews with the team. Monitor KPIs and team performance, addressing any issues as required. Manage the employee expenses process, ensuring accuracy, discretion and authorisation for employee charges. Support business critical projects. Develop and drive efficiencies within the Purchase Ledger team. Purchase Ledger Lead Required Experience: Previous experience in an end-to-end Purchase Ledger position, working in a senior or supervisory capacity. Previous responsibility for team leadership is preferential. Previous experience of working in a larger business environment with exposure to management of a high volume workload. A high degree of attention to detail, maintaining accuracy at pace. Problem-solving and query resolution abilities. A Subject Matter Expert with a deep understanding of Purchase Ledger processes and best practice to ensure and enhance department efficiencies. Excellent communication, relationship building and team working skills. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks in line with the needs of the business. Strong Excel and computerised systems skills, with the ability to effectively manipulate data for reporting purposes. The ability to support business critical projects, adding value and insight. Committed to continual improvements with a desire to progress a team within an Accounts Payable career path. A positive, motivated and proactive approach to your role and team members.
