Specialists in providing engineered above ground drainage and water supply systems, Polypipe Building Services leverages offsite fabrication to design and deliver solutions to mechanical and public health engineers, M&E contractors as well as local authorities. Polypipe Building Services houses well-known industry brand Terrain and has been delivering systems to commercial, high rise residential, healthcare, education and leisure projects for over 50 years.The Role: As the Production Shift Manager, you will be required to control all resources and processes within the Injection Moulding and Extrusion areas in order to ensure that safety, engagement and production requirements are met. You will actively identify, document, and drive continuous improvement in all areas of your responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Lead daily production to ensure targets are met on time in full at the right quality and cost.Use KPIs and SMART objectives to improve performance, particularly around safety, engagement, and OEE.Plan labour and resources based on production schedules.Ensure teams follow Safe Systems of Work and complete incident investigations (Alcumus).Run daily production meetings and ensure smooth shift handovers.Support or lead improvement initiatives, including sustainability and increased recycled material use.Provide monthly performance reports to the Operations Manager.Manage personnel matters including attendance, training, conflict, and discipline.Support team development through PDRs and personal development plans.Encourage strong team engagement in CI projects.Maintain high housekeeping standards across production areas.Skills and Requirements:Experience in production / operational leadership and can evidence your ability to drive CI within a production environment.A natural ability to coach and influence in order to nurture an actively engaged culture.Good organisational, analytical and problem solving skills.Qualified / experienced in running small to medium projects.Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills.Demonstrate the required ‘ideal team player’ virtues of Hungry, Humble & Smart.IOSH or similar qualification.Qualification relating to CI.Workings Hours & Benefits:Monday - Friday, rotational shifts covering days, nights & afters (8 hour shifts).25 days holiday plus bank holidays.Up to 8% matched pension.Company Sick Pay.Share save Scheme.Life assurance.Various health & wellbeing initiatives including complimentary occupational health, physiotherapy and counselling services.Staff discount on all Genuit Group products.
