We are seeking a Maintenance and Gardening Assistant to join our dedicated team at Lister House care home in Ripon, North Yorkshire.Help us provide and maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. In this hands-on role, you’ll take pride in maintaining our building and grounds to the highest standards.This is a permanent, full-time, role working 35 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays.Please note that we are currently only able to consider applications from candidates who have the legal right to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor visas at this time.Key responsibilities: - Carry out general maintenance and repairs. Perform minor building, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and decorating tasks. - Conduct safety and compliance checks. Complete regular inspections and testing of fire safety systems, water management.
