I am currently working with an engineering company in Basildon who require an additional CNC Programmer/Setter.The role:In this varied role you will be responsible for carrying out the programming and setting up a range of Hurco machinery. The work will include:Proving out program files, operating controls, setting offsets and editing programsInspecting and deburring parts for conformancePeriodically operating machinesCompleting setting sheetsMeasuring and marking dimensions and reference points on work piecesAdjusting offsets to keep parts in toleranceOperating lifting devicesThe CNC Programmer/Setter we are looking for will have:Experience in a similar manufacturing roleUnderstanding of drawings and manual check inspection requirementsUnderstanding of ERP systems to raise purchase orders, check stock and run reportingUnderstanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensionsStrong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliabilityThe ability to work proactively and effectively as part of a teamThe ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environmentGood written and verbal communication skillsA current clean driving licenceThe company are offering:Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:30 with a half day finish on a FridayAn excellent opportunity for progression within a large companyVaried workloadPlenty of overtime availableIf you are interested in this CNC Programmer/Setter role and believe you have the experience my client requires then please forward your CV
