Senior Quality ControllerFresh Produce Are you an experienced Quality Controller with strong product knowledge in fresh produce?Were seeking a Senior QC or Supervisor to join a leading packhouse operation in Kent, ensuring all packed fruit meets the highest customer and BRC standards. Youll be responsible for monitoring fruit quality, setting packing standards, and supporting production teams to maintain compliance, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the site. Key ResponsibilitiesInspect and assess fruit quality across the production and packing lines.Receive and check all incoming pallets, ensuring traceability, labelling, and packaging accuracy.Cross-check label information against physical product and allocation instructions.Monitor temperature, condition, and quality of incoming fruit and record findings.Set or adjust packing standards based on product condition and customer requirements.Complete all required online documentation and QC records accurately.Verify that final packaging, labels, and pallet information match inloading data.Conduct ongoing quality checks on the line, escalating non-conformances promptly.Take and record shelf-life samples and assist in product trials when required.Ensure technical equipment is calibrated and records maintained per BRC and customer requirements.Support and mentor junior QC team members to ensure consistency and high standards.Facilitate customer visits and audits as needed.Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Hygiene, and BRC policies at all times.What Were Looking ForPrevious experience as a Quality Controller or Senior QC within fresh produce, food manufacturing, or FMCG.Strong understanding of fruit quality standards, ripeness, and packing processes.Confident decision-maker, able to make recommendations on product handling and standards.Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.Good IT literacycompetent with Excel, Word, and online QC recording systems.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.Flexible and proactive attitude with a willingness to support operational needs.Good spoken and written English skills.Whats on OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Long-term, permanent position with a respected fresh produce business.Ongoing training and professional development.Collaborative, friendly team culture.Opportunity to influence product quality standards across a busy packhouse.Apply NowIf youre a Senior Quality Controller or an experienced QC ready to step up, and youre passionate about maintaining top standards in fresh produce quality, wed love to hear from you.
