Procurement ControllerRenfrewshire£27k (increasing after probation)Full time, Permanent Pertemps are supporting a large facilities organisation who are looking for a Procurement Controller to join the team. This role is essentially a team leader within the procurement team, you will be responsible for all the administration and client and company processes. It is essential that you have experience in a procurement or parts department previously.It is crucial that you have worked in a team leader type role previously, have strong communication skills and are able to liaise with the wider team, management and suppliers. This is a really busy role so it is essential that you can work in a fast-paced environment. This will be a fully office based role.Role Responsibilities:
  • Have a full understanding of procurement.
  • Be able to provide support to management.
  • Have decision making and negotiation skills.
  • Ensure that the procurement process are followed.
  • Ensure the team’s training and development.
  • Be responsible for compiling/updating progress/status reports for clients.
  • Ensure effective and regular communication.
  • Responsible for ensuring controls are put in place to identify any outstanding purchase orders.
  • Manage reporting and statistical information.
  • Be responsible for updating progress and status reports for clients.
  • Be responsible for the administration of procurement processes: sourcing materials, raising POs, sourcing PODs (proof of delivery), create/monitor returns, goods movements, stock adjustments, suppliers: specific/generic, Client specific processes, bonded stock, free issue stock.
  • Responsible for recording legislative documentation to meet client and company recommendations.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Have previous experience in a Procurement role.
  • Have experience in a team leading role.
  • Be extremely comfortable using systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
