Job DescriptionInterim Infrastructure EngineerAre you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer available for an interim assignment with the ability to hit the ground running and support a busy manufacturing environmentBased in Brandsburton East Yorkshire supporting a business going through a key period of growth and change. Youll provide hands on expertise across their core infrastructure ensuring resilience security and continuity during a high demand phase.Key responsibilities include: Managing and improving on premise and cloud based infrastructure including networks servers and storage. Administration of Windows and *Nix servers covering configuration maintenance and optimisation. Overseeing email messaging and backup environments ensuring strong recovery capabilities. Maintaining and tuning Oracle SQL databases to ensure performance and data integrity. Supporting application management configuration and upgrades across the business. Strengthening system security and ensuring controls remain aligned to current threats. Contributing to disaster recovery planning and automation of routine tasks. Providing 3rd line support for critical systems ensuring minimal downtime.BAU and Project DeliveryAlongside day to day support youll also take responsibility for delivering short term improvement projects including infrastructure upgrades optimisation work security enhancement and streamlining systems and processes. The business needs an engineer who can keep operations stable while pushing projects forward with pace.What theyre looking for: Strong BAU experience ensuring stability uptime and smooth operations in fast paced manufacturing settings. Confidence owning and delivering infrastructure projects from planning through to implementation. Ability to balance immediate operational support with project priorities. Proven experience in infrastructure within manufacturing or engineering environments. Strong networking cloud virtualisation storage SQL and Microsoft 365 knowledge. Someone proactive technically strong and able to step in with minimal handover.Contract details: Interim day rate position. Full time on site BRandsburton based.
