Reed Finance are partnered with a fantastic organisation in Suffolk to recruit a permanent Tax Manager.

As Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in the finance team, contributing to the diverse and dynamic operations of the organisation. You will be responsible for managing various tax-related matters within the group, encompassing both direct and indirect taxes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a skilled and diverse team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all corporation tax and VAT matters.
  • Take ownership of the quarterly VAT returns preparation and associated workings.
  • Prepare corporation tax returns, including capital allowances and R&D claims, calculate financial accounting provisions for current and deferred tax, and forecast CT payments on account.
  • Advise on the tax implications of property transactions.
  • Engage in tax planning and risk management, ensuring compliance with the organisation’s tax strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (essential).
  • CTA qualification (desirable).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability and technical proficiency in tax matters.
  • Customer-focused approach with leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and data interpretation abilities.
  • Project management experience and critical thinking skills.
  • Budgeting and financial awareness.
