Seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Payroll Manager to join a dedicated Accounting & Finance team. The successful candidate will have a profound understanding of payroll systems and an ability to lead a team efficiently.Client DetailsThis is a leading professional services firm in the UK. The firm is renowned for its high-quality services, and is committed to fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.DescriptionOversee daily payroll department operationsManage and guarantee weekly disbursement of multi-state payrollSupervise payroll teamEnsure compliance with current government regulationsEstablish and maintain employee recordsHandle payroll workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timelyReconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reportsUnderstand proper taxation of employer paid benefitsSupport the planning, prioritising, and allocation of all relevant payroll work within your own and client's team.Conduct payroll processing during peak times and delegate client work during periods of normal demand.Review all payroll processing work of the team.Supervise Seniors, Semi-Seniors and Assistants who are involved in processing of payroll.Develop and build relationships internally for cross referral opportunities and to become a valued team member across the firm.
