Healthcare Assistant Theatre (Bank)Three Shires HospitalBank ShiftsSalary: Up to 12.21 per hour (depending on level of experience training and qualification)Three Shires Hospital in Northampton is part of Circle Health Group Britains leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in theTheatredepartment.This is a bank role working on an as and when required basis you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.Duties of this role include:Assist patients with personal hygiene washing dressing toileting oral care and mobility needs respecting their preferences and dignity.Help patients with eating drinking and nutritional support including documenting intake where appropriate.Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives creating a caring and safe environment.Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure pulse respiratory rate temperature oxygen saturation and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).Support basic clinical procedures including wound care setup assisting with catheter care pressure area prevention and mobility aids.Prepare and maintain clinical areas including trolleys beds and equipment in readiness for patient use.Work collaboratively with nurses doctors therapists and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient careApplicants should meet the following criteria:Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital care home community or domiciliary).Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring compassionate attitude.Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.Basic literacy numeracy and IT skills.Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable.Knowledge of safeguarding infection control and confidentiality procedures.Salary & Benefits:Circle Health Group offers a competitive hourly rate.Our culture is a result of the way our people live and breathe our philosophy which combines our purpose principles and values.To find out more about the Circle Health Group Philosophy: Key Skills Environmental Safety,Customer Service,General Insurance,Gsm,Branding Employment Type : Part-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
