South Africa Lodge is a 99-bed service providing high quality care across 6 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated GOOD with CQC.What do you need? Minimum of 1 years' experience working in Care within the UK (essential)Experience working with adults that present with complex needs including challenging behaviours and mental health needsAbility to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and their familiesA caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitorsEffective communication skills (both written and verbal)What hours will you work?Day Shift: 07.45 to 19.45 (12-hour shift)Night Shift: 19.45 to 07.45 (12-hour shift)What will you be doing? Supporting all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes and social activitiesObserve resident progress against planned goals and report changes in the residents’ condition or care needsSupporting all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes and social activitiesHelping residents to remain as independent as possibleRespecting residents right of choice, privacy and dignity at all timesCommunicate effectively with other staff and members of the team* PLEASE NOTE *Due to our training programme, we would require all Bank employees to attend a 5-day induction prior to starting employment. This induction will be paid for and takes place Monday to Friday 09.30 to 16.30.
