The role of a Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 LGV Driver to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods, adhering to all legal and company requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and career advancement within the logistics industry.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently transport containers and goods to various destinations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Execute multiple deliveries as required, adhering to scheduled timelines.
  • Perform drop and swap operations as needed, ensuring smooth and efficient transitions.
  • Operate splitter trailers, managing complex haulage requirements.
  • Safely handle and transport hazardous materials, complying with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Requirements

  • License: Valid Class 1 (C+E) LGV license.
  • Proven experience as a Class 1 LGV driver, with a solid track record of safe and efficient driving.
  • Familiarity with multi-drop deliveries, drop and swap operations, splitter trailers, and hazardous materials transportation.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle complex delivery schedules.
