Our Client, a leading global consumer goods business, is currently seeking a strategic, results-driven eCommerce manager to join their expanding UK team.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement e-commerce strategy to improve website performance.
  • Work with the web development team to improve website speed.
  • Work with the marketing team to improve quality and traffic acquisition.
  • Research market to discover new trends and technologies.
  • Oversee or directly manage digital marketing channels across PPC, SEO, Display, affiliates, and email marketing.
  • Manage and oversee e-commerce platforms and systems.
  • Train staff to use various e-commerce systems effectively.
  • Track and monitor performance and sales of online store.
  • Manage and oversee order fulfilment process.
  • Deal with complaints or issues related to e-commerce platform.
  • Collaborate with IT department to establish site analytics.
  • Create and maintain online business promotion.
  • Focus on marketing in an electronic environment, tracking competitors and staying abreast of sales comparison data.
  • Understand online sales goals and the needs of the customer.
  • Manage multiple tasks at once, supervising others, and merging innovation with technology-based sales.
  • Report on income generation & recommend new promotions to increase sales.
  • Negotiate with social media organisations for the most cost-effective way to market and promote products and services.
  • Customer journey mapping, website development, and growing traffic through online marketing.
  • Demonstrate commercial values in line with the company's values and overall business strategy at all times.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant eCommerce and marketing experience, particularly in high-growth environments.
  • Proven track record scaling eCommerce/consumer products/retail businesses from relative infancy to scale.
  • Prior eCommerce P&L ownership strongly preferred.
  • Direct or indirect leadership over dimensional, technical, and non-technical teams comprised of creatives, technologists, operators, and analysts.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Prior exposure to third-party providers Shopify desired.
  • An entrepreneurial, roll-up-the-sleeves mentality is a must.
