We are looking for personnel to join our team and support key client projects.Who we are supportingThe NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATOs member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels Belgium.The NCIA provides a wide range of services including:Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATOs communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATOs military commanders to plan and execute operations.Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATOs mission to detect deny and defeat threats to its communication networks.Information Management: The NCIA manages NATOs information technology infrastructure including its databases applications and servers.Overall the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATOs communication and information technology capabilities.The program Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATOs principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV and when required stand together in the face of attack under Article V.To provide these critical services in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorises: NATO International Civilians (NIC)s Military (Mil) and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.Role ID C004367Role Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks with Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) basic processes and operations.Maintains item and inventory management records.Helps minimize bottlenecks and delays and the resulting impact on operating costs.Uses real-time inventory software with guidance to move supplies where needed when needed.Assists in resolving issues related to physical space management.Performs the receiving ticketing checking in and distributing of inventory items for a specific location.Produces basic inventory management reports for senior staff to reconcile the inventory balances.Tracks inventory information for a specific product group or location.Works with basic tasks of inventory management for a specific location.Follows processes to take stock release inventory or return into processing; resolves discrepancies.Uses tools with guidance to forecast delivery times determine costs and assess performance.Works with logistics in a domestic environment.Maintains records of all shipments and invoices using an established system.Assists in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity.Participates in integrating logistics processes and developing effective networks.Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain.Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities.Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions.Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products.Works with a specific part of supply chain management process.Analysis and documents key performance indicators of warehouse management in own area.Assists in implementing mechanization approaches and techniques in a distribution centre.Collects and translates the business requirements for specifications of warehouse management systems.Performs basic warehousing activities such as receiving putting away picking packing and shipping merchandise.Maintains warehouse equipment and facilities on a regular basis.Essential Skills Experience and CertificationsHigher vocational training or secondary education.1-3 years experience in Supply Logistics or Supply Chain Management.Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as ERP oracle based systems.Basic knowledge of safety protocols and equipment handling.Working LocationNorthwood Great BritainWorking PolicyOn-siteTravelSome travel to other NATO sites may be requiredSecurity ClearanceValid National or NATO Secret personal security clearanceWe never know what new opportunities might be just over the horizon.
