Overview
We work in partnership with a Government Department to provide, develop and maintain an electronic archive. We are a small team of technical experts who specialise in data management, system analysis and research, providing a complete wraparound service to our client.
We are looking to grow the team; with our current vacancy suiting an experienced research analyst.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and record all requests for information (RFIs) in a detailed and consistent manner.
- Effectively triage RFIs on receipt to manage deadline expectations.
- Assess RFI complexity and duration, forecasting research response times.
- Cross reference new tasks with previous requests to minimise duplication.
- Undertake research and analysis work as required, to include:
- The development of research terms and strategies.
- The identification and review of research results.
- The creation of assessments and/or synopses of results when required.
- The managed transfer of completed RFI responses.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provision of knowledge and advice on operational reporting methods and military record keeping processes.
- Assisting with the development and refinement of Department wide research strategies.
- Helping stakeholders to interpret and understand specialised military vernacular and the activities being reported on.
- Provide regular written and verbal summaries on stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain situational awareness of customer activities, both in volume and scale.
- Engaging with your team to develop new electronic research applications.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Applicants must have a relevant analytical or research background.
- Applicants must have completed an operational tour of either Iraq or Afghanistan, preferably Afghanistan.
- Ideally applicants will have held an analytical role on operations.
- Applicants must be confident in engaging with personnel of all ranks and services as well as civilian counterparts.
- Applicants will ideally hold either an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification, though relevant and comparative work experience will be considered equally.
- Applicants must be DV cleared. SC clearance may be considered for the right candidate if you are willing to undergo DV clearance.
Remuneration
- The starting salary offered for this role will be £60,000 depending on experience. Holidays – 25 days per annum plus bank holidays.
