The Opportunity


We are seeking a visionary Managing Director with a proven track record in manufacturing operations to lead the business through its next phase of strategic growth. Reporting directly to the Board, you will be responsible for driving EBITDA growth and implementing a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation. This is a unique opportunity for a results-driven leader to make a transformative impact.


Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a clear, forward-thinking strategy to achieve growth targets, with a strong focus on improving EBITDA
  • Cultural Change and Engagement: Galvanise and inspire the workforce, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance
  • Operational Excellence: Lead and optimise all aspects of production operations, emphasising improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), productivity, and quality
  • Commercial Focus: Work closely with the Commercial Director to drive profitable sales growth, ensuring customer-centric solutions and instilling commercial awareness across teams
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Develop and mentor key leaders and management within the business, enhancing commercial behaviours and operational management capabilities
  • Visible Leadership: Be a highly present and accessible leader, engaging directly with production teams to understand and drive operational improvements on the shop floor


Parkinson Lee Executive Search are keen to speak with people that have the following skills and experience:


  • Significant leadership experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment, with a demonstrable history of operational transformation and growth
  • A strong background in operations management, progressing from an apprenticeship and/or holding a relevant degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline
  • Expertise in implementing OEE improvements and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to drive cultural change and enhance employee engagement
  • Commercial acumen with experience supporting sales and working closely with commercial leadership to drive business profitability
  • A hands-on, visible leadership style, engaging with teams at all levels
