Job Title: Electrical Fitter Location: Cheltenham Hours: 40 hours per week – Day shift Pay: £17.50 per hour + Overtime Position Summary We are seeking an Electrical Fitter with strong practical electrical skills and experience working on automated machinery. The role involves wiring, installing, commissioning, and maintaining automation systems, ensuring high-quality electrical integration and reliability. Key Responsibilities Electrical Wiring & Integration Wire and connect control panels, motors, sensors, actuators, PLCs, and SCADA systems. Route, terminate and label cables to a professional standard. Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and industry standards. Electrical Commissioning & Testing Perform electrical commissioning of automated systems. Carry out functional testing, fault-finding, diagnostics, and system sign-off. Support integration work with control systems and robotics teams. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Conduct planned electrical maintenance and respond to breakdowns. Diagnose electrical issues and implement corrective actions quickly and effectively. Documentation & Collaboration Complete electrical installation reports, wiring diagrams, and checklists.
