Senior Manufacturing NPI EngineerCopello is supporting a powerhouse of a company, a real cutting-edge business who are at the forefront of defence and aerospace, delivering innovation, impact, and transformative defence solutions across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace.An organisation that will offer you an opportunity as a Senior Manufacturing NPI Engineer to work with pioneering technology, top industry experts, and a dynamic, friendly supportive culture that fuels growth, skills, and real-world impact.About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing NPI Engineer to take on a meaningful mission with critical products for military application.You will take ownership, presenting as the technical and manufacturing lead on NPI buildsKey Responsibilities as Senior Manufacturing NPI EngineerTechnical and Manufacturing Eng. lead on NPI Builds, owning schedule, cost, Quality standards, and Manufacturing best practicesFocus on Circuit Card Assembly & Unit Level assemblyEngage from Bid and Proposal through NPI Builds to full rate productionDrive DFM, manufacturability analyses, manufacturing data, and Systemic Root Cause and Corrective ActionIdentify, expedite, or escalate quality or performance issuesSupport skills training, Manufacturing Engineering metrics, Team KPI, and Goals & Objectives to optimise processesSupport Program Cells and the Engineering communitySupport continuous improvement and lean principlesExperience and Knowledge Required as Senior Manufacturing NPI EngineerHND in Manufacturing / Production Engineering or related disciplineStrong electro-mechanical manufacturing processes knowledgeUnderstanding of electronic and electro-mechanical product design and operationContribution to Production Programs’ effectiveness, efficiency and optimisationPromote Design for Excellence (DfX)Lead / participate in process FMEA, design review, and risk mitigationUnderstanding of 6 Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Lean ManufacturingIt Would Be Great If You HaveUnderstanding of electro-mechanical manufacturing processesKnowledge of Circuit Card Assembly ProcessesBenefits as Senior Manufacturing NPI EngineerUp to £60k basic salary DOECompany bonus scheme (discretionary)25 Days holiday plus statutory bank holidaysAn opportunity to buy ands sell up to 5 days holiday (37 hours)Contributory Pension Scheme (up to 10.5% company contribution)6 times salary “Life Assurance “with pensionFlexible Benefits including Health, Cash plan, Dental37 Hour weekGreat working culture, output focussedFlexible working arrangements upon requestFor more information on the role of Senior Manufacturing NPI Engineer feel free to get in touch with Alison Francis on 07341 347640 or email alison@copello.co.uk
