JOB DESCRIPTION


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


• Optimising the design and delivery of legal services provided to clients under the managed legal services portfolio

• Leading continuous improvement programmes with clients to onboard, design and then further optimise the delivery of services under a Continuous Improvement framework, finding efficiencies, smarter ways of working and tech enablement

• Working alongside the MLS, wider innovation group (including legal tech) and private practice teams to design the core MLS service offerings


THE TEAM


• The team forms part of the Innovation Group, which includes MLS, legal tech, consulting and research & knowledge services. The Innovation Group is tasked with driving innovation and transforming the delivery of services to our clients.

• The MLS team work close closely with the different practice groups, aligning MLS services as appropriate with the relevant specialisms within the practice groups.

• The team closely collaborates with private practice teams delivering services to clients where MLS services are also delivered or a business development opportunity exists.

• Managed legal services is an emerging area with the legal industry, be at the forefront of legal innovation with our manged legal services team, redefining how we deliver value to our clients. A strategic focus for many of our clients looking to transform and digitise the delivery of services and drive new ideas and approaches forward.


WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE


• To work with the MLS wider team to design and build the core MLS services, leading the overall design and approach, architecture the positioning and approach for the service (with bids team, marketing and private practice teams)

• Overseeing each stage of the service design process, identifying other relevant colleagues & specialisms to drawn into the design & build as required (legal tech team)

• Design & build of services includes process design, pricing & financials, delivery know-how, precedents & templates, digitisation & automation etc

• Liaising with head of MLS delivery to agree service descriptions & client marketing content

• Liaising with private practice teams to build, align and market MLS services to clients (as appropriate)

• Designing the continuous improvement framework for annuity MLS client deals

• Leading continuous improvement programmes for MLS clients, working alongside the MLS delivery team to further optimise the delivery of services, finding efficiency savings & quality improvements

• Working with clients to onboard/ transition them to AG MLS services, completing require readiness and design/ engagement activity as required


YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE


To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have 6 + years of legal industry experience in designing and transforming legal services

• Experience in designing continuous improvement frameworks, utilising lean six sigma/ designing thinking to identify, analyse and make changes to legal processes to drive improvements

• Experience running CI projects, basic project management skills

• Experience with legal technology tools and how to embed them within legal processes

• Change management experience with in-house legal teams
