You will design flexible, person-centred programmes of study that support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a role where creativity and compassion meet impact — every day will be different, and every moment will count.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging, interactive lessons across a broad range of subjectsAdapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and abilities of pupilsPlan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum standards and individual goalsDevelop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and set meaningful learning targetsBuild positive, nurturing relationships that inspire trust, confidence, and motivationCreate a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and growthCollaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child’s developmentWhat We’re Looking ForQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentFull UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicleA passion for working with pupils with SEN or SEMH needsCreativity, patience, and a positive, hands-on approach to teachingThe ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and colleaguesA genuine belief in the transformative power of educationAt New Barn School, you’ll be part of a compassionate, skilled team who believe in transforming lives through education.
