Our client, a highly regarded west-end law firm, is seeking a Construction Solicitor to join their expert team on a permanent basis.

With a rich history of providing comprehensive legal solutions, the firm boasts a diverse client base, including multinationals, public and private companies, partnerships, public sector organisations, and private clients. The firm’s construction team is an integral part of its renowned Real Estate Services department, known for its expertise and high standards of professionalism.


As a key member of the construction team, you will work alongside two experienced partners and have access to a trainee. Your role will encompass both contentious and non-contentious construction work. On the contentious side, you will handle matters such as disputed accounts, time and delay claims, workmanship and materials issues, and professional negligence. Your non-contentious duties will include drafting and negotiating building contracts, professional terms of engagement, collateral warranties, parent company guarantees, and performance bonds.


The ideal candidate will have experience with the Construction and Engineering Protocol, TCC procedures, and adjudicating under the Construction Act. Familiarity with JCT contracts is essential.

In addition to your legal expertise, you will be expected to provide exceptional client service, manage your caseload efficiently, and contribute to the supervision of trainee solicitors. You will actively engage in business development and marketing initiatives to further enhance the firm’s profile. The role also involves attending networking events and other business development activities.
