The Role: As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant at our Brent-based school, you will:

  • Support Learning: Assist teachers in delivering captivating lessons and provide individualized or group support to enhance students' learning experiences.
  • Encourage Participation: Help design and implement engaging and interactive learning activities that make education enjoyable.
  • Classroom Management: Aid in managing classroom behaviour to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Resource Preparation: Prepare dynamic learning materials and resources under the guidance of teachers.
  • Student Development: Support the social and emotional growth of students, fostering a nurturing and encouraging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to students with varying learning needs.
  • Assist teachers with creative classroom activities and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in lessons.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they have access to the curriculum.

Requirements:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in any discipline, preferably in education or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic school environment.
